Ein kleines gemütliches Café im
Stile eines klassischen New York Diner.

The worst Reuben sandwich I ever had in Melbourne. The meat is dry and very very salty. The BBQ brisket and bacon burger is OK. Bacon was good but BBQ brisket was too dry. Also, waitress looked too exhausted that make their service mind is very poor. They serviced us as if we begged for their food.

Highly not recommended for this restaurant.

Update your response. I didn't came on the day I reviewed. On that day, the sky is very clear and your shop wasn't crowded. I don't think your excuses isn't good enough on my case. Anyway, I don't want any compensation or excuses for the review. Just one of your customer's experiences.

Chill place to eat. Usually always a bit busy. Food is always a bit average. Nice vibes tho and kinda cosy.

Chicken and waffles - decent! Chicken was juicy and cooked well. Waffle was soggy as and a bit sad tbh.
Philly cheesesteak - was very lackluster. Not an American Philly cheesesteak. I wouldn’t get it again. Would not recommend. Had very very little meat.
Cornbread - was more bready than corn bready. I wouldn’t not get again.
Fries - not on the menu but was $9 which is kinda pricey for only like 20 fries.
Salmon bagel - seemed really sad. Not that tasty.
Turkey sandwich - not much turkey but tasted okay.
Soy latte - was average
Iced latte - very below average
Apple spiced hot tea - yum and warm

Another hidden gem in one of Melbourne’s laneways, if you didn’t know about this cafe you’d never find it unless you accidentally walked down the lane way or like us googled cafes near me.

So glad we found it, we got there at around 930 & the place was booked out, we opted to sit outside under the heaters, this was warm enough & nice enough to stay the whole time.

The menu was very different to your typical breakfast menu, very American.

I opted for the Salmon & capers Shaksuka, glad I did, it was bursting with herbs & spices, the eggs were cooked perfectly & the salmon was fresh & tender, the capers were the icing

My husband ordered the lox potatoes & latkes with poached eggs - not your typical eggs & salmon but very tasty, salmon was fresh, asparagus was the perfect texture, not too soft & the potato latkes were scrumptious. Great coffee!

Was nice to experience a different kind of breakky in a Melbourne laneway, has a cool vibe.

By the time we finished the line up the laneway was quite long, the place is obviously well known with a great reputation.

Lucky for us, we found it by accident!

Our waiter was very hospitable, friendly & informative.

Dining Experience @ Bowery To Williamsburg.
.
Inspired by, and named after, a subway line within New York City. Specialising in classic American diner dishes, Bowery To Williamsburg attracts a good breakfast and lunch crowd for their hearty bagels and sandwiches.
.
The Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate (AUD $6) is creamy thick and rich, with a velvety texture and deep chocolatey milky nutty sweet flavour. Love this unique spin on a hot chocolate, the difference in taste is distinct.
.
Was craving a good sandwich, and The Reuben Sandwich (AUD $22) checked all the right boxes.
.
Between 2 thick crisp slices of rye bread with grainy sour earthy bready flavour, is a bed of juicy sauerkraut with vegetal sour salty sweet flavour, stacked high with generous medium thin slices of tender chewy pastrami beef brisket with smoky meaty salty savoury spice flavour, completed with creamy Russian dressing which lends a sweet spicy kick.
.
Topped with a juicy pickled gherkin with vegetal sour sweet flavour. Super filling, I wasn't able to finish this decadent dish.

Small paper sandwiches at $20 a pop with mediocre flavor. No fresh veggies, no plating. This is where business people go for quick lunch nearby, but I won't be back and recommend it to friends.
